Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS) has begun the distribution of MASJA-Sa Porridge for the fiscal year 2022M/1443M from 13 to 22 April 2022 at the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque and the Kuching City Mosque.

The MASJA-SA LAKMNS Porridge Distribution Program was launched at the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque by Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai, Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS. During the brief ceremony, he also had the opportunity to distribute porridge to those present.

After Asr prayers,distribution will begin and will be done on a drive thru-basis. People who want to get this porridge only need to queue in their vehicles in the designated area and the porridge is ready to be packed in the pre-prepared containers.

Prior, a brief ceremony was held on the porch of the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque to mark the handing over of rice donations by Fieldmart Sdn. Bhd. and Padiberas Nasional Berhad (BERNAS), the program's rice sponsor.

In another development, LAKMNS aims to hold a MASJA-Sa-style porridge distribution programme at the Kuching City Mosque beginning in July to benefit those in need. Every Monday through Friday from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., 100 packages of porridge are expected to be distributed.

02 APRIL 2022- Sarawak Mufti Sahibus Samahah Datu Haji Kipli bin Haji Yasin reminded Muslims to do tadabbur al-Quran as one way to liven up Ramadan.

He revealed the reminder while delivering the tazkirah at the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque during the Ihya 'Ramadan Briefing Ceremony organised by the Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS). Representatives from mosques and surau from around Kuching attended the programme.

He further said that through tadabbur al-Quran, Muslims are not only encouraged to understand and practise the teachings of the Quran, but also to improve their reading skills, because reading is part of Allah SWT's knowledge.

Soon after, a tahlil recitation was held, led by Sarawak's Chief Imam, Sahibul Fadhilah Dato 'Haji Mustapha Kamal bin Haji Ahmad Fauzi. LAKMNS Deputy Chief Executive Officer Encik Mohamad Feisal bin Said, LAKMNS Chief Officers, and senior LAKMNS officers were also present at the ceremony.

27 March 2022 - The 2022 Mosque Youth Carnival is an initiative of the Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS) to provide a platform for youths and teenagers to engage in healthy leisure activities. The first Mosque Youth Carnival 2022 took place from March 25 to March 27, 2022.

Various activities were held during the three-day event, including Bicara Ilmiah Wanita (BIWANI), Youth Forum, Masjid Jamek Berselawat, Kayuhan Mosque Connect, Tahlil Perdana at the Semariang Islamic Cemetery, Smart Prayer Camp, and various competitions, all of which were held at Masjid Jamek Negeri Sarawak. Visitors were also treated to a special performance by the renowned nasyid group UNIC during the adjournment ceremony on March 27.

21 March 2022 - YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Sarawak Premier, paid a visit to the Galeri LAKMNS in Bangunan Baitul Makmur II.

The gallery was built on the initiative of the Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak to reinforce the delivery system as well as provide a facility for visitors to Baitul Makmur II. It was finished by the end of 2021. The gallery's main focus is on traces of LAKMNS's founding history as well as business information. The timetable of LAKMNS's programmes and activities is also displayed.

The gallery is open to the public every Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Abdul Aziz bin Dato Hussein, Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS YBhg.
