Janazah Management Course was hosted by Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS) on September 24-25, 2022, at the Sarawak State Mosque Jamek.

This course had 119 participants, including the High Imam of Sarawak, Sahibul Fadhilah Dato'Haji Mustapha Kamal bin Haji Ahmad Fauzi, who attended on the first day of the course. The participants were exposed to the practicalities of Janazah management on the second day, including bathing, shrouding, and praying, as presented by al-Fadhil Ustaz Wan Hasyeri bin Wan Zen, al-Fadhil Ustaz Mohd Shahril Azrill bin Rosli, and al-Fadhilah Ustazah Rukaiah binti Zen.

On the second day, there was a postponement ceremony, which was completed by LAKMNS Acting Chief Executive Officer Mr Mohamad Feisal bin Said. Mr Mohamad Feisal also presented souvenirs to the speakers and facilitators, as well as certificates to the participants.

17th September 2022 - Sarawak State Jamek Mosque has received a visit from Chung Hwa Middle School No. 1. A group of 276 people consisting of the Principal, Cikgu Yap Chong Guan, teachers, and the school's sixth (6) grade students.

The goal of this visit is to increase students' knowledge and understanding of Islamic religion or culture as taught in textbooks. Furthermore, the purpose of this visit is to teach the next generation to cooperate and tolerate one another to build a prosperous Sarawakian family.

Mr Abang Bikusary bin Haji Kadir, Chief Officer of the Mosque Management Department (JPMM), Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS), and JPMM officers and staff welcomed the delegation's arrival.

Mr Abang Bikusary welcomed the group's arrival in his welcome speech. According to him, such visits can foster a sense of unity among people of different races while also providing a platform for them to get to know and understand one another. Mr Abang Bikusary added that it was the first visit in LAKMNS history, particularly to the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque, where the majority of Chinese students and teachers were present.

Earlier, the group was treated to a recitation of Quranic holy verses by Assistant Islamic Affairs Officer LAKMNS Ustaz Mohd Arman Ismady bin Ismail.

The participants were then led on a tour of the mosque.

14th September 2022 – Kuching City Mosque received a visit from participants of the Muslim Friendly Tourist Guide Course (MFTG) organized by the Islamic Tourism Center (ITC) with the Industrial Development Division, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), Sarawak State MOTAC Office and Sarawak Tourist Guide Association (SKTGA).

This visit is meant for the procedures of welcoming and serving visitors in the mosque. It also intends to inform participants about the history of the Kuching City Mosque.

The delegation was greeted by representatives from the Kuching City Mosque Division, Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS).

Mr Nuraiman Bin Omar, Head of the Kuching City Mosque Division then presented a simple briefing. The participants, a group of 35 people, were then taken to tour the mosque's surroundings.

August 30^th 2022 - The National Day Celebration Ceremony at Tahfiz Tun Abdul-Rahman Yakub Kindergarten level (TATTARY) took place at the Sarawak Negeri Jamek Mosque's Left Porch.

This programme is one of TATTARY's initiatives to enliven National Day celebrations while instilling patriotism in students.

Throughout the ceremony, various activities were carried out, such as the recitation of poems, singing of National Day songs, singing performances, a fashion show competition, a National Day parade, and the presentation of prizes.

The TATTARY Supervisor, Puan Nur Aqma binti Sahari, and the TATTARY teaching staff also attended the ceremony.
