In his opening speech, Datuk Haji Misnu commended the initiative undertaken by IRIS to enhance the quality of its broadcasts. He also expressed hope that IRIS would be fully utilized by Islamic agencies in Sarawak, particularly in promoting their programs.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS, Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai, the establishment of this new IRIS studio is a commitment from the Sarawak Islamic Council, which has provided funding for it. He stated that the establishment of this studio is also evidence of IRIS's commitment to improving the quality of its broadcasts. Additionally, he mentioned that since its inception in 2020, IRIS has received strong support from Islamic and public agencies, as well as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that have partnered with IRIS.
Internet Radio Islamic Sarawak, which has been operating since 2020, follows the concept of Islamic infotainment targeting the public as its audience. Its content includes contributions from Islamic agencies, government agencies, and NGOs, covering topics such as religious issues, health, finance, and other matters of public interest.
