13 March 2022 - LAKMNS is always willing to work with all parties in providing welfare aid to the community, including government agencies, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and any other organisation or individual.
The Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS, YBhg. Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai, addressed this at the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque at the Opening Ceremony of the Bag to School (BTS) 2.0 Sarawak Edition Program. The Dana Kita Welfare Organization, in association with LAKMNS, is organising this initiative, which also has the Sarawak State Education Department's support.
He also expressed gratitude to the Dana Kita Welfare Organization for partnering with LAKMNS to manage this initiative. A total of 2000 school bags were supplied to kids in the Kuching, Samarahan, Serian, and Padawan areas through this programme, which included asnaf and B40 students.
The distribution of school bags on a drive-by basis to principals and headmasters from selected schools to represent their students was symbolic of the inauguration. The distribution was overseen by Encik Zamzaitul Akmal Hisham bin Ahmad, Sarawak's Deputy Director of Education (Student Development Sector), who also acted as the ceremony's officiant.
Also present were Pertubuhan Dana Kita President Encik Mohd Fadli bin Haji Salleh, as well as representatives from the Kuching, Padawan and Samarahan District Education Offices (PPD), as well as Dana Kita Welfare Organization volunteers.
