COUNSELLING

The Psychology and Counseling Unit (UPKL) is a new unit under the Group HR LAKMNS that was officially established in November 2018.

The purpose of establishing the Psychology and Counseling Unit is to advance the well-being and develop human capital among LAKMNS staff through psychological and counseling approaches. This initiative is believed to enhance human capital in a more comprehensive and holistic manner. Knowledge and skills in applying psychology are seen as crucial in empowering human capital. Issues within the organization, such as work motivation, discipline, integrity, and performance, need to be addressed thoughtfully and wisely.

Moreover, these issues are challenging to understand as they relate to internal factors such as attitudes, values, beliefs, emotions, and thoughts. Identifying and resolving problems is believed to be possible using accurate psychological methods, with decisions needing to be made swiftly.

The psychological and counseling approach emphasized by this new unit in its efforts to develop human capital focuses on aspects such as development, prevention, and recovery. Applying psychology in staff management involves activities that concentrate on individuals' thinking, behavior, and emotions in the workplace.

The activities carried out are part of an ongoing improvement effort in human capital management. They include personnel assessment, personnel development, research, and intervention. This helps to enhance the effectiveness of staff management in creating a conducive and harmonious work environment.

Currently, the services provided by the Psychology and Counseling Unit at LAKMNS are also extended to interested external parties.
