CEO MESSAGE

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh and Salam Sejahtera.

All praise is due to Allah SWT. May peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW, his family, and his noble companions.

On the occasion of Kuching City Day, celebrated annually on 1 August, we extend our warmest greetings to all residents of Kuching. May our beloved city continue to prosper, flourish in peace and harmony, and always be blessed with the mercy and grace of Allah SWT. Let us continue to work together in preserving unity, cleanliness, and the spirit of togetherness for the well-being of the city we proudly call home.

The month of August is also a significant period for all Malaysians as we celebrate the National Month. In conjunction with Malaysia's National Day on 31 August, we would like to wish all Malaysians a Happy National Day. May this celebration serve not merely as an annual commemoration, but as an opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of independence, to be grateful for the peace and stability we enjoy, and to strengthen our spirit of patriotism, unity, and love for our nation.

As an institution committed to the development of the Muslim community, the Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS) firmly believes that mosques play a vital role in nurturing unity, harmony, and compassion within society. Beyond serving as places of worship, mosques also function as centres for knowledge, community welfare, and the unification of the ummah, regardless of background.

Let us honour the legacy of our nation's independence by upholding integrity, fostering respect for one another, and contributing towards the development of a morally upright and progressive society.

May Allah SWT continue to protect our nation, grant us lasting peace and stability, and bless every effort undertaken for the betterment of our religion, our people, and our country.
