WHO AM I? 2024

JANUARY 1, 2024 - On January 1, 2024, a Postponement Ceremony was held for the Who Am I? V4.0 which has taken place at the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque. The program organized by Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS) was held in collaboration with the Jamek Petra Jaya Mosque Youth Club (MASJA-SA).

The programme, which lasted three days and two nights and was held at the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque, was attended by 39 people ranging in age from 15 to 30 years old.

The programme "WHO AM I?" aims to produce youth with the drive to succeed based on the skills, knowledge, and techniques acquired throughout the programme. Furthermore, to instill a sense of love in the youth for the mosque's activities and to foster friendly relations among Jamek Petra Jaya Mosque Youth Club (MASJA-SA) members.

Various interesting activities took place over the course of the three days of the programme, including group training (LDK), tahsin prayers, and religious talks. Qiamullail, motivational speech, among many others.

The postponement ceremony of this program was attended by YBhg. Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai, Chief Executive Officer, LAKMNS. Also present were Mr. Abang Bikusary bin Haji Kadir, Chief Of Mosque Management Department, Haji Mohamad Nidzam bin Haji Ahmad, Head of Sarawak State Jamek Mosque Division and Mr. Nuraiman bin Omar, Head of Kuching City Mosque Division.

LAKMNS STAFF RETIREMENT PREPARATION PROGRAMME

A total of 58 Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS) employees attended the LAKMNS Staff Retirement Preparation Programme, which was held on October 3 and 4, 2023 at the Baitul Makmur II Seminar Room.

Participants include LAKMNS staff as well as Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Chief Officers from each Department, and LAKMNS Division Heads. This programme serves as an introduction to the retirement world.

There are 6 sharing slots that have been carried out. Mental health slots presented by Mrs. Chiew Pei Ching, Counseling Psychology Officer and Mr. Felix Thompson Ak Howell, Assistant Medical Officer who are both from the Kuching Divisional Health Office. In addition, Mr. Ronney Khairuddin, Senior Advisor from the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF), delivered the speech. On the second day of the programme, Mr. Abang Mohammed Razali, Senior Executive Officer, Sarawak State SOCE Synergy Unit, delivered a sharing slot, followed by Mr. Haji Madehi, State Marketing Head, Lembaga Tabung Haji Negeri Sarawak, and last slot was delivered by Mrs. Marlene Margaret Nichol, Head of Branch,Credit Counseling and Management Agency (AKPK) Kuching.

The closing ceremony was held on the final day of the programme and was completed by Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap Bin Haji Abang Julai, Chief Executive Officer, LAKMNS.

TATTARY SPORTS DAY 2023

TATTARY Sports Day was held last October 5, 2023 at MBKS Stadium, Pending Kuching. Sukaneka TATTARY was launched by Puan Megawati binti Haji Julaihi, Chief Officer of the Department of Management and Services of Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS) representing the Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS.

This year's sports day has an animal theme. Ants were chosen for the red sports house, Bees for the yellow sports house, Whales for the blue sports house, and Frogs for the green sports house.

This year's TATTARY Sports Overall Champion is the Yellow House team.

KEMBARA CINTA RASUL – MAULID AKBAR

On September 30, 2023, Masjid Jamek Negeri Sarawak hosted Kembara Cinta Rasul with Professor Dr. Ustadz Abdul Somad Batubara.

He gave a sermon titled Madinah Charter as the Foundation of Ummah Unity. Deputy Prime Minister YAB Dato' Sri Haji Fadillah Yusof also attended the event.

MAULIDUR RASUL 2023M/1445H CELEBRATION

Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak also participated in the Maulidur Rasul parade. LAKMNS contingent was led by the Acting Head of the Security Division, Encik Yusuf bin Mohamad Nassir.

The Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS, YBhg. Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mr Mohamad Feisal bin Said, as well as Chief Officers, Heads of Divisions, and LAKMNS officers, marched in this parade.

This ceremony was also graced by the presence of His Excellency Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib, as well as the Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg and his wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma'ani Tun Tuanku Bujang and other dignitaries.
