The 'Little Hajj' Programme was held at Masjid Jamek Negeri Sarawak on July 6, 2023. Tadika Tahfiz Tun Abdul-Rahman Ya'kub (TATTARY) implemented an annual programme for all 6 Year TATTARY students, which involved 74 students.

 

This programme aims to expose students to the fundamentals of Hajj, both theoretically and practically. Giving students an indirect understanding of Hajj as the fifth pillar of Islam and produced students who are disciplined in following each step to perform Hajj in order.

Furthermore, this programme encourages students to develop a strong desire to perform Hajj at a young age.

On July 3, 2023, the assembly of Auxiliary Police of Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS), and LAKMNS Chief Executive Officer YBhg Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai was held. The ceremony was held at the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque and was attended by 55 auxiliary police officers of various ranks.

 

Also present were Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mohamad Feisal bin Said, Chief Management Officer , Megawati binti Haji Julaihi, as well as Chief Mosques Management Officer Abang Bikusary bin Haji Kadir.

This gathering served as a platform for the Chief Executive Officer, LAKMNS, to deliver a mandate to the auxiliary police in the spirit of teamwork.

In addition, the Chief Executive Officer's mandate includes work ethics that auxiliary police members must follow when carrying out their daily tasks, as well as providing new work guidelines in accordance with the recommendations of YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (DR) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman ZOhari bin Abang Haji Openg, Premier of Sarawak when carrying out duties digitally.

As a result, the mandate conveyed is critical in ensuring the security of LAKMNS property and assets, particularly in the future, from any criminal activity and preventing losses from occurring.

29 June 2023 - The Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg joined the crowd in performing the Eidiladha prayer at the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque.

Also participating were several state cabinet ministers and deputy ministers, State Secretary Datuk Amar Haji Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and senior government officials.

The Honorary Secretary of Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS), Tan Sri Datuk Amar Haji Abdul Aziz bin Dato' Hussein, members of the LAKMNS Board, and the Chief Executive Officer of the LAKMNS, Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai, welcomed the distinguished guests.

The prayer was led by Sarawak State Chief Imam Sahibul Fadhilah Dato' Haji Mustapha Kamal bin Haji Ahmad Fauzi, who also delivered a sermon titled "Iman Terpelihara Ummah Sejahtera."

The Eidiladha prayers were led by al-Fadhil Ustaz Haji Sana'ani Haji Fauzi at the Kuching City Mosque, and the sermon was delivered by al-Fadhil Ustaz Addaha Zaidi.

The Speaker of the National Assembly, YB Senator Tan Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, was among the dignitaries who attended the Eidiladha Prayers at the Kuching City Mosque.

The LAKMNS 5.0 Professional Management Program took place on 20 June 2023, Tuesday at the Riverside Majestic Hotel, Kuching. This program was attended by the LAKMNS Management group consisting of Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai, Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS, Mr Mohamad Feisal bin Said, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS, Heads of Departments and Heads of Divisions of LAKMNS.

This program is a platform for the top management of LAKMNS to share the Achievements of the Year 2022, the Current Report 2023 as well as the planning of each department and division for the next five (5) years.

During the programme, the Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS also shared and suggested that the LAKMNS management line be sensitive toward Global and Local Issues, which will have an indirect impact on the direction in achieving the Vision and Mission of LAKMNS as a whole. Elements of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) are also shared, which can be used to implement the functions and roles of Departments/Divisions at LAKMNS.

Following that, the Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS presented the five (5) year plan for LAKMNS as a whole, based on three (3) elements to achieve the plan: A-Aman, B-Bahagian, and C-Ceria.

At the adjournment session, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer also summarised the issues raised by each Department and Division in order to ensure that the primary driving force of LAKMNS remains efficient and competitive. Finally, the LAKMNS Chief Executive Officer reminded Management and all LAKMNS employees of the importance of savings (do more with less) and reducing waste in all aspects.

On June 6 and 7, 2023, a total of 29 Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS) staff members attended the "Positive Team Transformation" Series 2/2023 LAKMNS Course at Lot 10 Boutique Hotel in Kuching.

 

Participants include LAKMNS employees from various departments and divisions. This programme provides participants with information about the significance of positive changes in work attitudes, which are the most important assets in organisational development. Throughout this course programme, various "Group Training" activities with the concept of "Team-Building" have been implemented, with a focus on cooperation, communication, decision making, planning, strategic and creative thinking, leadership, and the ability to solve problems and tasks.
