Qurban is an act of sacrificing livestock for the sake of nearness to Allah s.w.t. The command to sacrifice was prescribed by Allah to us in the 2nd year of the Hijrah, corresponding to the command of the Aidiladha prayer and zakat.
Alhamdulillah, on 11 July 2022 equivalent to 11 Zullhijjah, the Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak through MASJA-SA Club and MASJA Kuching Berhad has successfully completed the sacrificial ritual of 2 cows.
The ceremony was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai, Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS. The ceremony was also attended by Mr Mohamad Feisal bin Said, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS and Chairman of KOMASJA, Miss Zaharia Binti Fadzi, Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chairman of KOMASJA and Mr Nuraiman bin Omar, Head of the Kuching City Mosque Division and Chairman of MASJA-SA Club.
This ceremony was smoothly thanks to the cooperation of LAKMNS staff and the distribution of sacrificial meat has already been delivered to those who are eligible around Petra Jaya Kuching.
