Saturday, 29 January 2022- The "Mosque Connect" Cycling Program was organized by Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMNS).
This cycling aims to enliven the surau and mosques as well as strengthen the relationship with the approach of cycling which is a current sports trend and at the same time promote a healthy lifestyle culture.
Leading the cycling is the Chief Executive Officer of LAKMNS, YBhg. Datuk Haji Abang Abdul Wahap bin Haji Abang Julai. A total of almost 200 participants participated in this cycling consisting of LAKMNS staff as well as cycling enthusiasts around Kuching.
The cycling started as early as 6.30 am at the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque after the congregational Subuh prayers. During the cycle, participants did several pit stops at the Masjid Ikhwanul Muslimin, Taman Sukma, Masjid Darul Akmal, Taman Semariang Aman, and the last pit stop was at Surau Darul Salihin, Kampung Pasir Panjang, where participants performed Dhuha prayers and were served with Lectures Dhuha delivered by al-Fadhil Ustaz Mahathir bin Ahmad, Assistant Officer of Islamic Affairs LAKMNS, before returning to finish the cycle to the Sarawak State Jamek Mosque.
